About Foodiemom.com
Welcome to foodiemom.com. Come on in. I was just watching the Food Network, while simultaneously setting a beautiful table, arranging fresh flowers and whipping up a recipe out of Bon Appetit. To celebrate getting a big promotion at the office.
Well, not really. What I'm really doing is supervising homework, making a snack for the kids, unloading the dishwasher, folding laundry, checking email and testing recipes.
And then I pass those recipes (only the best ones, of course!) along to you. Because I figure you want the same things I want:
More fun, less stress & a great dinner
That's my foodiemom mantra these days, ever since I found myself driving someone somewhere and thinking, "I want to do something fun too." (And then have a great dinner, of course!)
So anyway, pull up a barstool, have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, maybe a mojito? We can figure out what's for dinner, unless the kids are clamoring for pizza and breadsticks, in which case I just might order in. (Hey, a great dinner isn't always gourmet.)
But I do try to come up with great recipes that we all want to sit down for, because you can only tolerate pizza or Chinese or deli carry-out so often.
And by then I'll have come up with another great recipe. Maybe even something fabulous...well, okay, almost fabulous. (That's the thing, isn't it? We might want fabulous, but we don’t often have time to actually do fabulous.)
So what is for dinner? Usually, it's something quick, easy, fresh. Occasionally, it's a foodiemom favorite, something that we love, like Spicy Thai Pasta or My Mother-in-Law's Lasagna. One of my new ones is Tuesday Night Etouffee.
So that's what's happening here at foodiemom.com. I'm just trying to enjoy life a little more, relax a little more and find the next great dinner recipe. You can find some of them on my (almost) daily blog (just click on the "what's for dinner" link over there).
So take a look around and find out what’s for dinner. At foodiemom.com.
And help yourself to whatever’s in the fridge.
